Description

Do you want to help support young creators in their music, film, and cultural projects? Are you passionate about creating safe, inclusive, and inspiring environments where young people can grow and take their place? Then you might be the operations developer we are looking for!

KFUM Jönköping is now seeking you to work as a substitute on an hourly basis in the project Jönköping Culture Collective (JKK) – a self-organized cultural association for young people aged 13–25. In this role, you will work closely with the project manager and the collectives, focusing on presence, relationship-building, and practical support in the young people's processes.

About the Role

As an operations developer, you will be a support for the project manager in the daily work. You will help create structure, safety, and opportunities for the collectives – without taking over their ownership or creative processes.

You will serve as an enabler: someone who listens, encourages, facilitates, and helps young people get where they want to go.

Your Tasks – Examples

Presence and Youth Support

  • Be a safe and relationship-building adult in the collectives.
  • Support young people in their ideas, planning, meetings, and project implementation.
  • Help include new participants in a warm and structured way.
  • Be attentive to group processes and contribute to a safe and positive climate.

Support in Operations and Coordination

  • Participate in music and film collective meetings and support the project manager in ongoing processes.
  • Help maintain order in the premises and ensure practical needs are addressed (e.g., technology, schedules, basic planning).
  • Support with drop-in structures and participant flows.

Administrative and Structural Support

  • Contribute to simple documentation, meeting notes, and follow-ups.
  • Assist in the work with introductions and routines.
  • Help with planning and coordination of hourly employees or resource persons as needed.

Events and Projects

  • Participate and support in the implementation of events, concerts, workshops, etc.
  • Assist with practical tasks during larger activities (e.g., startup, preparations, logistics).
  • For summer projects: assist the project manager in planning and implementation.

We Are Looking for You Who

  • are attentive, present, and thrive in social environments
  • enjoy working with young people and can find the balance between supporting and stepping back
  • are flexible, self-sufficient, and solution-oriented
  • can create structure in a creative and sometimes unpredictable context
  • have good communication and collaboration skills
  • are confident in handling group dynamics
  • Want to contribute to the infrastructure of culture, work to ensure young people have the opportunity to develop their interests and dreams, such as becoming future cultural practitioners or prominent workers in the cultural sector.

Experience in youth work, culture, project management, or association life is advantageous but not a requirement. The most important thing is the right personality and a genuine interest in culture, young people, and their ideas.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and some experience specifically with self-organized cultural associations.
