Operations Manager for Chinese Restaurant

We are now seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager for a restaurant. As an Operations Manager, you have overall responsibility for daily operations and play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality in both cooking and service.

Job Duties:

• Daily Operations: Overall responsibility for the restaurant's daily activities, including quality control of dishes, supervision of service levels, and coordination with our partner in other cities.
• Procurement and Inventory Management: Responsible for orders from suppliers of Chinese specialties, inventory optimization, and cost control.
• Marketing: Plan and implement campaigns targeting the local market as well as the Chinese audience and students to broaden the customer base and build loyalty.
• Financial Monitoring: Analyze sales data, optimize operational costs, and assist the owner with budgeting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Staff Training: Train future employees in cooking methods for authentic Chinese cuisine, cash register systems, hygiene standards (HACCP), and basic Swedish labor laws.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, leadership, finance, hotel and restaurant management, or equivalent relevant certification.
• Language Skills: Very good knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin) and English. Basic knowledge of Swedish is advantageous.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in process management or operational leadership.
• Professional Knowledge: Good familiarity with Chinese cuisine and the craftsmanship behind traditional flour products (such as buns, dumplings, wontons, and handmade noodles). You should be well-versed in Swedish food safety regulations and labor law.
• Personal Qualities: You have strong leadership, are solution-oriented in crisis situations, and possess good intercultural communication skills. Experience with international studies or work is a big plus.
