At Forsstrom, we develop the future's joining machines for PVC and PU, and we are now looking for a programmer to join and strengthen our design team

About the role

The role is placed within the Design unit and reports to the Design Manager

You work closely with colleagues in electrical and mechanical engineering and have ongoing contact with customers, agents, and suppliers.

Focus is on developing and maintaining software for complex machine systems where quality, operational reliability, and customer adaptation are central

Your main tasks

You design, develop, program, and maintain software for our machines and systems.

You are responsible for software documentation and commissioning of machines.

You participate and assist with electrical design and during commissioning and tuning of machine plant software both internally and at the customer's site.

Responsibilities and authorities

You are responsible for conducting your work in a structured and professional manner with a focus on the best possible results

You act in accordance with applicable laws, agreements, and the company's policies and guidelines

You have the authority to initiate, comment on, and implement measures to meet requirements and objectives within your area of responsibility

Your background

You have relevant technical background and experience in programming in an industrial environment.

You have a strong interest in electronics and programming in C/C++

You currently work or have worked with C/C++ and have a good understanding of how software interacts with machine, electrical, and control systems.

You are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented, and thrive on taking responsibility from idea to operational solution
