Chef with at least five years of experience sought

Restaurant Vin & Vänner located near Östanå Castle just north of Åkersberga in Stockholm is seeking a chef with at least five years of experience. The restaurant is situated in the old granary of a cultural building from the 18th century, with 15-meter ceilings and a solid environment from the era of great power. Our style is cheese, wine, and charcuterie of premium class with a small but highly appreciated hot dish menu. We serve Tagliata, Iberico pork, Char, seafood pasta, Pinsa, Toast Skagen, chili shrimp, salads, and vegetarian options, among others. We give our chefs a lot of freedom to create their own ideas, making our menu both changeable and exciting.

We are a seasonal restaurant open from Easter to New Year, Thursday-Sunday during peak summer, Friday-Sunday other times, but we often work with events on Thursdays throughout the season. We are looking for you who can fit into our small, family-like team where everyone helps each other to give our guests an experience to remember. We follow contractual salaries, are FORA-affiliated, and reward solid work in various ways. As an opportunity for chefs from afar, we can with 95 percent certainty offer accommodation at the castle in an apartment where you have the chance to live in an amazing castle environment together with two others in our fantastic team, with your own bedroom, shared kitchen and living room, as well as a shower and two toilets. The rent is set very low, with maintenance, good behavior, and respect for each other being a requirement for the low rent. Since we are closed January-March, the work is seasonal employment, but accommodation can continue even during this period if we choose to continue the collaboration for the upcoming season.

We do not accept applicants who are bicycle couriers, janitors, warehouse workers, car mechanics, or similar. It only wastes our and your time. CVs are always read first, and references are always checked for applicants. Without credible references, there is no point in applying for the job.
