On-Call Social Educator or Equivalent for Evening, Weekend, and Night Shifts at Residential Care Facility

About Us:

Residential Care Facility Haga in Harbo is seeking more social educators/treatment assistants to join our fantastic team.

The home has 7 places, and the target group is girls aged 13-18 with mental health issues and psychosocial problems or early-stage addiction issues, or young people living in a conflict-filled or otherwise unsatisfactory home situation.

Our Approach:

Together, we work based on all the young person's areas of need according to BBIC – from assessment and treatment to discharge and aftercare. We actively strive to create a safe environment for development, change, and the path to an independent life. Additionally, we have a clear focus on diet, health, and exercise.

Working with Us:

Experience with the target group is a prerequisite for success in this work.

It is important that you as a person are secure in yourself and have a good ability to provide care and build strong relationships. You will also become a contact person, which involves conducting weekly meetings with the young person in that role. As a contact person, it is also part of your role to develop relevant implementation plans based on our mission together with the placed individual and the commissioning body. Documentation in our record system is also included.

Working at our treatment home means we also help each other with everything that occurs in a home; we clean together, do laundry, cook meals, and bake. We take care of our garden to make it welcoming and maintain our cars to keep them in good condition. We support each other in the staff group, and team spirit is crucial in our operations.

Your Qualifications:

We are looking for you who have at least a diploma from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/educational treatment work, or a degree from a university with a corresponding focus. You should have good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have good knowledge of low-arousal approaches.

It is an absolute requirement that you have a Class B driver's license (manual transmission is advantageous) and a suspicion and criminal record without any remarks.

Experience with treatment work and CBT is advantageous. We place great importance on personal suitability.
