Internship in the European Parliament (Left Party) - EU Studies/Political Science
Description
Apply for an internship in the European Parliament
Do you want to be part of the work to advance more left-wing politics in Europe together with the Left Party's Members of the European Parliament Jonas Sjöstedt and Hanna Gedin and a creative and professional office with ten staff members? Then you are welcome to submit your application for an internship with us this fall!
As an intern with the Left Party's delegation, you will learn up close what legislative work in the European Parliament involves and thus also learn how the entire EU machinery functions. You will, of course, also have the opportunity to participate in all the work that the Left Party in the EU does to highlight and drive through a system-changing green transition across Europe, where polluters pay and ordinary people get better lives.
We are looking for you who are studying European Studies, EU Law, or Political Science with a European focus and who want to contribute to getting our political proposals through. This can involve everything from analyzing and assisting in the negotiation of legislative proposals, managing the parliamentarians' calendars to preparing talking points and background materials or organizing a seminar. We work as a cohesive office, so you will also have the opportunity to assist in the entire office's work.
The internship lasts up to 5 months, starting at an agreed date in September 2026. There may be a possibility for an extension of four months. As an intern, you will receive a compensation of 1,500 euros, and it is also possible to apply for an Erasmus scholarship for an internship through your university. There is also a 300 euro allowance for travel to and from Sweden. The workplace is Brussels. We are keen for you to have a rewarding and educational internship period and look forward to your application.
