With the port's geographical location, it is easy for ships to dock at the quay, and with warehouse buildings and a container terminal in direct connection, loading and unloading operations can be carried out efficiently.

We are now looking for stevedores to work with us at Åhus port and stevedoring.

Your duties

As a stevedore, your primary task is to unload and load ships using various types of forklifts, cranes, wheel loaders, and other machinery. The work includes both container and bulk handling and involves a broad handling of goods within the port area.

With us, you are offered a varied job where, in addition to loading and unloading ships, you are also responsible for inspection and simple maintenance of equipment and machinery care. You often work in teams, and the tasks can consist of both manual work and machine operation.

The role also includes ensuring that all work tasks are performed in accordance with current safety, environmental, and quality routines.

Your background/Your qualities

We are looking for you who have a high school education, preferably with a focus on vehicles or technology, and who have experience from logistics, port operations, or other similar production.

If you have previously worked with cranes, container forklifts, or other machinery, it is meritorious. If you have an operator's license for forklifts, wheel loaders, or cranes, it is seen as an advantage. Experience from a port environment or the logistics industry is a big plus.

To succeed in the role, you have a genuine interest in machinery and technology as well as good machinery proficiency. You enjoy physical outdoor work year-round and are thorough and safety-conscious in everything you do.

The position requires at least a Class B driver's license and that you can express yourself fluently in Swedish in speech and writing and have good ability to communicate in English orally.
