Do you want to work in a socially critical operation where professionalism, respect, and care are always at the center?
Funeral Home AB is now seeking new employees for the transport of deceased persons within the framework of Police Authority assignments.
We are looking for hourly-employed extra staff for work on evenings, weekends, and as needed.
About the job - Transport and handling of deceased persons
When a person passes away, the body should be transported in a dignified and secure manner. This may involve collection from the location of death to the nearest mortuary or transport to the Forensic Medicine for examination.
As a transporter with us, you become part of the entire chain regarding the handling of the deceased. The work is always done in teams of two, where you alternate between driver and assistant. You collaborate closely with the Police Authority, the National Board of Forensic Medicine, municipal residences, external residences, and our own funeral agencies.
Working hours are varied, and the workload can fluctuate between high-intensity periods and calmer shifts. The work also involves responsibility for vehicle maintenance, material handling, and freedom under responsibility.
Job duties
- Transport and handling of deceased persons
- Casket placements and assignments for our funeral agencies
- Vehicle maintenance and handling of work and consumable materials
- Collaboration with authorities, care personnel, and relatives
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Class B driver's license (required) and confident in operating larger vehicles
- Basic computer skills
- No criminal record and not appearing in the criminal records register (check conducted in accordance with Police Authority requirements)
- Good physical condition and stable mental health as the work can be both physically demanding and mentally stressful
Meritorious
- Experience in transporting deceased persons
- Experience from care, social services, transport, or other service-oriented operations
