The Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI) is a government agency that conducts world-leading research in defence and security to support Sweden's military and civil defence. The research spans multiple areas, such as underwater, cyber defence, space, electronic warfare, sensor systems, civil defence, CBRNe (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive substances), military platforms including weapons and protection, and security policy analyses. About the position It is a varied role with traditional office work as well as being out in the organization to solve practical tasks. As a unit administrator with us, you provide broad and qualified support to unit managers, project leaders, and researchers. You will work with planning, follow-up, coordination, and compilations. The work also includes making orders, preparing for new hires and introductions, and coordination for recurring courses and external visits. Working in our various support systems is a natural part of your tasks. About the unit You will be part of the office that belongs to the Electronic Warfare department. The office staff is part of the department's daily operations by supporting managers and having close dialogues with project leaders and other employees. The office currently consists of a department secretary, several unit administrators, case officers, and department economists, totaling twelve employees. As a unit administrator, you support unit managers and two to three units, each consisting of about 25-30 employees. Do you have the competence profile we need? Requirements high school education, several years of practical experience in administrative work, several years of experience in supporting managers and a large number of employees, good computer skills and user proficiency in the Office package, good knowledge of Swedish and ease in expressing yourself in speech and writing. As a person, you are structured, flexible, and efficient, and gladly take on both simple and more advanced tasks independently. You have the ability to quickly grasp routines, rules, and processes. As a person, you should find it easy to build good contacts with all types of professions, both internal and external. Meritorious experience working in a project organization with support for project leaders, experience in administrative work within a government agency, worked with administrative support systems.
