Summer job at Åsens by Reception/service/farm shop

We are now looking for a receptionist who also works with service and our farm shop during the spring and summer season when many happy visitors from all over the world come to have fika and meals, stay in our cottages, and experience our unique historical and Småland village.

The tasks may vary, but you will primarily work in the reception, café, and farm shop. In the reception, you welcome our guests, handle bookings, answer the phone. You also have dialogue with the cleaning staff and inform them about what needs to be cleaned during the day, as it depends on what has been rented out. You support the café by preparing fika and simple meals, serving, and handling dishes and cleaning. In the shop, you ensure it looks pleasant, unpack goods, and handle payments. It is advantageous if you have worked with similar tasks before.

At Åsens by, you are also an important host for the reserve and should be able to answer questions about what is happening in the village and provide suggestions for what visitors can do. You should have a pleasant manner, enjoy providing service, and be flexible. You will receive introduction and guidance when you start with us but must be able to take your own initiatives and be self-sufficient. During peak season, the pace is often high, but together we are a strong team working towards the same goal: happy and satisfied visitors. If you also have experience with simple agricultural tasks, that is advantageous as tasks such as supervision and feeding of our native breed animals may become relevant.

You need to be able to speak both Swedish and English; if you can also speak German, it is a plus. There is no possibility to use public transport to Åsens by, so you need to be able to get here on your own.
