Apex.se is seeking a Car Builder - Mechanic & Jack-of-All-Trades

Apex.se is undergoing strong development and we now need a car builder/mechanic and Jack-of-All-Trades for our operations in Önnestad.

The core of the role involves car modifications, on-site tire service at racing/rally events, and managing seasonal tire changes.

We build competition cars, weld roll cages, and modify suspensions, brakes, etc., in our workshop.

During tire seasons, you handle our tire hotel customers.

During the summer season, the focus is on our competition tire service at events mainly around Sweden but with occasional trips abroad.

This involves approximately 10 event visits annually, typically working Thursday to Sunday of the relevant week.

Before events, the right equipment, correct quantities, and appropriate tires must be loaded.

After events, our vehicles and equipment need to be checked. This may include washing tent canvases, servicing tire machines, or vehicles.

The main tasks are:

• Converting standard cars into competition cars
• Restoring special cars
• Maintaining equipment and machines used in our racing tire service
• Participating in events and working with tire service and all it entails
• Maintaining the company's vehicles
• Keeping order and tidiness in the workshop, storage areas, and the property in general.
• Handling seasonal tire changes
• Stepping in when something else needs fixing

The role offers great freedom and places high demands on being structured and proactive.

You must enjoy working independently, even though there are 8 colleagues working in the same building.

We prefer that you have some of the following experience/knowledge/qualifications:

• Driving license class C/CE
• Welding knowledge
• Car repair experience
• Motorsport experience
• Car restoration/modification

Salary is paid monthly, and normal working hours are 08:00-17:00 weekdays at the facility on Västra Bockebäcksvägen 5a in Önnestad. However, during the season, we also work at tracks around the Nordics, resulting in approximately 10-20 public holidays per year.

The intended salary range is between 28,000 and 40,000 per month depending on your experience and qualifications.
