Service/Instrument Technician

PAAB Tekno Trading AB is a technology company that delivers measuring instruments, technical solutions, and services to customers in industry, water and wastewater, and process sectors. We work closely with our customers and focus on quality, long-term relationships, and technical expertise.

We are now seeking a traveling service/instrument technician who wants to work partially independently with installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service of our equipment at customer sites.

About the role

As a technician with us, you are responsible, together with our service team, for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service of measuring instruments and technical systems.

You plan your own assignments and travels and have direct contact with customers and suppliers. The role involves significant personal responsibility and suits someone who thrives in a varied daily routine where problem-solving is the focus.

The position involves travel within Sweden, and you will be based at our office/workshop in Säffle.

Work tasks

• Installation of measuring instruments and technical equipment
• Commissioning and functional checks
• Troubleshooting, service, and repairs
• Preventive maintenance and contract service
• Planning service interventions in dialogue with the customer
• Technical support via phone, email, and on-site
• Documentation of work performed and preparation of service reports

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High school education in areas such as: Technology, electronics, automation, control & instrumentation, or similar.
• Strong interest in technology.
• Swedish and English in speech and writing
• Class B driver's license
• Ability to travel for work

Desirable:

• Experience with service, installation, or assembly in industry or related technical fields
• Experience in water and wastewater, water treatment, or process industry
• Experience with measuring instruments or instrumentation
• Background as a service technician, industrial electrician, or instrument technician
• Experience with technical support
• Familiarity with traveling service roles
• Technically and mechanically skilled
