About the role of technical administrator:
As a technical administrator, you have the operational responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the application and infrastructure IT environment for one or more IT service areas. The role primarily belongs to the Operations and Maintenance function. As a technical administrator, you will work with lifecycle management, which includes procurement, support, operation and maintenance, as well as decommissioning of both applications and associated infrastructure, considering functional and non-functional requirements including high security demands. The tasks also involve developing and improving procedures and working methods. Additionally, you will participate in both customer and supplier meetings, as well as in projects involving the relevant IT service areas.
Responsibilities and job description:
As a technical administrator, you are responsible for the technical IT environment for one or more IT service areas and the issues that arise. Examples of responsibilities include ensuring sufficient capacity and availability in a secure manner to meet the service levels agreed with the customer. This also involves working with risk management, compliance with IT security policies, and protection of sensitive information. As a technical administrator, you are an important part of the support chain and an escalation point for 1st line support, and together with the 1st line, you are responsible for ensuring support is provided according to agreed service levels.
Your main areas of responsibility and tasks:
Technical operation and administration - Responsibility for the daily operation and lifecycle management of the IT environment. This includes:
• Practical work: Installation, configuration, technical maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting
• Lifecycle and status: Assessing the environment's status and managing it from a lifecycle perspective
• New solutions: Planning, designing, and implementing new technical solutions together with colleagues
Support and issue management - Functioning as a support for the organization's support chain:
• Escalation and prioritization: Acting as an escalation point for the 1st line and prioritizing and ensuring that issues are resolved within set service levels
Development and improvement work - Driving improvements in both technology and methods:
• Improvement proposals: Identifying and proposing optimizations regarding the IT environment's functionality and capacity, as well as developing processes and procedures
• Implementation: Being responsible for driving and implementing decided improvements
Knowledge management - Ensuring and spreading competence by sharing knowledge and information within both 1st and 2nd line support/operations and administration
Documentation and quality assurance - Being responsible for ongoing documentation of the IT environment and performing regular updates of the technical documentation.
Collaboration and relationships – Collaborating based on established collaboration forms:
• External and internal contacts: Collaborating with and representing Fiberstaden towards suppliers and customers
• Staffing: Collaborating with the coordinator regarding staffing matters
Authorities - As a technical administrator, you have the authority to:
• Within lifecycle management, equip the technical IT environment with appropriate equipment, products, and software
• Within your area of responsibility, ensure that policies and guidelines for security, quality, efficiency, and sustainability are followed
• Represent the Operations and Maintenance function at meetings
As a technical administrator, you have the following knowledge and abilities:
• Very good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Exchange Online and On-Prem
• Good knowledge of the technology on which Microsoft products are built
• Good knowledge of mail filters
• Good knowledge and understanding of IT security
• Good knowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL, OpenTrim, or equivalent)
• Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English
It is meritorious if you meet some of these criteria:
• Experience with the Microsoft 365 portfolio
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID
• Experience with PowerShell
• Experience with Fortimail
• Experience with Windows server including Active Directory
• Experience with implementing or migrating email solutions
• Experience with issuing certificates to users and systems
• Experience from working in municipal operations

The position is located in Hudiksvall and is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible by agreement. Before an employment decision, a background check will be conducted.
As a technical administrator, you are expected to work on-site with the possibility of partial remote work by agreement.
