Senior Software Engineer (Automotive)

GlobalLogic Sweden is pleased to invite Embedded Software engineers to join an Automotive project in Gothenburg, Sweden. You will play a key role in shaping the foundation of our next-generation software and hardware platforms. Our clients are Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs from Europe and the USA, and development is aimed at Automotive Solutions that will be deployed in the latest cars.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience in Embedded C++, preferably from the Automotive industry
• Experience with Android, especially AOSP
• Experience in Linux OS: user level (command line)
• Test automation experience
• Experience/interest in performance test development including strategy and process is advantageous

It will be a great plus:

• Experience with Python-based frameworks: pyTest, Robot
• Experience in AOSP test frameworks (CTS, ATS, VTS)
• Experience with Java, Kotlin: the ability to read and understand code
• Troubleshooting experience
• Knowledge of Linux Kernel basics
• Experience in software development for the automotive industry
• Experience in using software performance measurement tools.

Job responsibilities

• Development within the Android platform.
• Securing the foundation for all application teams to build their components on.
• Integrating patches from the BSP supplier.
• Improving and collaborating on cross-version and cross-platform software compatibility.
• Development, improvement, testing, and maintenance of the new hardware platform.
• Supporting application teams in adapting their software for the new Android and hardware platform versions.
• Ensuring the new hardware platform reuses the existing shared software platform codebase.
• Adapting the SELinux policies to work correctly with the new hardware platform and Android version.
• Coordinating and communicating with the CI teams to enable new hardware support quickly and smoothly.
