Dollarstore is seeking a finance assistant with focus on accounts payable

About the role

In the role of finance assistant, you will primarily work with accounts payable and handle large flows of supplier invoices in the business system IFS. You are responsible for accounts payable for two companies, one Swedish and one Danish, where handling of cost invoices is included as a natural part of the work. The role also involves collaboration with an external party that handles certain parts of the supplier flow. You ensure correct payment flows and actively contribute to efficient and quality-assured processes, while also being involved in the development and improvement of working methods, routines, and systems related to accounts payable.

You belong to an engaged and lovely team of about six people who are located in nice and pleasant premises in Kista. Together, you contribute to a strong team spirit and effective collaboration, where you work closely with your colleagues in the finance department and are an important part of a well-functioning team.

Main responsibilities

• Responsible for supplier register and ongoing register maintenance
• Handle supplier payments and ensure correct payment flows
• Work with posting, accruals, and distribution of supplier invoices for approval
• Handle large volumes of supplier invoices
• Be involved in the development and streamlining of accounts payable and the supplier module
• Contribute to the development of processes and routines
• Handle finance emails together with the team
• Support the finance department in other occurring tasks

Qualifications

• Previous experience of independent work with accounts payable and finance administration
• We prefer that you have a post-secondary education in accounting or finance
• Good understanding of posting, accruals, and payment flows
• Good skills in Excel
• Experience working in environments with large transaction volumes is meritorious
• Previous experience from the retail industry is meritorious
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written
