Water Treatment & Site Water Management Lead

Location: Sweden (with national project travel), Stockholm & Luleå.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Water Treatment & Site Water Management Lead to strengthen our growing industrial and infrastructure project team. In this role, you will take a leading position in planning, implementing, and supervising water treatment solutions and site-wide water management strategies across complex industrial and construction environments.

You will collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and environmental specialists to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant water handling throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate site water management activities, including groundwater control, process water, stormwater, and dewatering systems.
• Plan, design, and optimize temporary and permanent water treatment solutions for industrial and construction sites.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and safety standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide technical guidance regarding water quality, flow, and treatment requirements.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Monitor system performance, analyze sample results, and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and method statements.
• Support tender processes with technical input and cost estimations.

Requirements

• Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water/Wastewater Engineering, or similar field.
• Several years of experience in water treatment, site water management, dewatering, or related industrial processes.
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations and water quality standards.
• Ability to lead on-site activities and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and technical judgement.
• Strong communication skills in English (Swedish is an advantage).
• Willingness to travel to project sites across Sweden.

Merits / Nice to Have

• Experience from heavy industry, infrastructure, construction, mining, or defense-related projects.
• Knowledge of pump systems, filtration technologies, process water management, and temporary treatment plants.
• Safety certifications (BAS-U/BAS-P, BAM, etc.).
